Well, here’s a little conversation that took place at this cool little website called Better Networker.

The thread that started it all:

In the last 30 mins, I bought more Mike Dillard courses then I ever thought I ever would. Coming into this industry if I knew I would end up spending this much to become successful I don’t think I would I have joined. Now that I’ve spent close to $4,000 dollars on products, dvds, cds, books, ANYTHING that could help me. I’m literally not giving up now until I make all my money back plus tons more.

If you’re wondering what I bought; I bought PPC Domination, Writers Guild and MLM traffic formula 2. Mike Dillard said this is it and I’m going to do it if his products are that good. I really don’t want to say I’m giving up if this doesn’t work but I’m afraid I have too. 5,000 dollars and I haven’t seen a single cent is really hard to swallow.

Apparently part of my response spawned a bit of a knee jerk funny response, as Jason Better, head honcho round those parts quoted the “not so indirect” response:

What you didn’t get in the package is an inflatable Mike Dillard that goes out and builds your business.
And without ACTION, actually using and implementing the things taught in that information, all you were doing was shopping. You aren’t building your business, you’re building a library.

Here are a few of my responses to the post:

First of all, everything you bought … it’s nothing more than an education.

The whole conversation basically was geared around this guy who was talking about he spent all this money on “training” but hadn’t made any money. Well as you may have guessed … BUYING a course isn’t going to get you anywhere. Hell if that were the case all we’d have to do is chalk all of about NO Dollars, zip, zero … the big NADA! for library card and spend our days soaking up k-nowledge for free while we wait for the checks to show up in the mailbox.

I mean duh! … isn’t that how your life goes? That’s how everyone is doing it these days right? lmao!

Anyway, we all know it takes ACTION if you want to get anywhere.
You must move forward, apply what you learn … then and ONLY then will you see any kind of results.
Good or Bad you’re going to get some sort of reaction to your action – that’s a universal law that cannot be broken.

Newton’s Law of Motion:
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

So basically to break it down on a more fundamental level …

Take golf for example. (yeah that’s one everyone will understand)
You can get a golf bag, tees, balls, a glove, shoes, pants, a hat, a ball towel, a golf brush and the best clubs money can buy. Put on your fancy new clothes and spiked shoes, get all those balls and clubs in the bag, then take it all into the living room, grab a beer on your way, set the clubs by the couch and watch the Golf channel all day.

Of course that’s going to put you in a league right up there with Arnold Palmer right?

NO you say?

Well, what if you take those clubs and fancy shoes to the course and actually pay for a full round … All 18 Holes? Now you’re a playa right? Nay you say?

Well gosh darrnit! What’s a brotha got to do around here to get some love?

How bout this …
You get those clubs, strap on them shoes, go to the course, actually get on the course, tee up your ball, grab the Big Mamma driver, turn your hat around all gangsta like, dig your spikes into the soft grass of the tee box, adjust your grip, stay mindful of your posture, feet spread just wide enough apart, look squarly down the fairway at the, cock back that club around your back … then throw that bi**h as hard as you can towards the club house!

Hey it may get you thrown off the course (or banned by Google), but at least we’re getting somewhere now!
Long live full contact golfing … YeeHaw!

Really though, all seriousness aside … You’ve got to get on the green and actually attempt to hit the ball.
Until you do that you aren’t PLAYING golf, you’re just a spectator watching the big boys gitter done.
