In case you haven’t seen this yet… Google has a new service available called “Google Profiles” which creates a Google powered profile for your name.

So for instance here is my profile… Richard Bravo Profile.

The cool thing about this is that your profile ranks within a couple minutes on the first page of Google for your name. Mine showed instantly after creating the profile. Do a Google search for “Richard Bravo”

Most of the listings are already mine, but look at the bottom of the page… that’s the new Google Profile.

You can add all the anchor text optimized links that you want, and from what I can tell, they are do-follow links.
Who knows how this will affect overall SEO but these should provide link juice to your efforts.

In addition you can add a Flickr, Picassa or other photo stream, Google map info, contact info, a bio with more anchor text linking, and more.

From a branding perspective this is one more POWERFUL addition to your marketing efforts that you should take a serious look at. And just like any other virtual real estate, it looks like it will be first mover’s advantage to get the profiles. So if you have a common name you need to act fast.
