Hey thanks for the feedback Rich - good to see you here. I'm still looking at hosting providers. I have several in my lineup and will be doing a review shortly.

Richard,

Nice blog...you lured me in with your new Better Networker sig!

I recently got an account with EZS3, and it has worked very well for me. The only problem I've had has been with the sizing for some of my videos, but I'm sure that's been user error on my part, and I've been able to fight my way through it with some trial and error.

Hi Jim, I didn't place links for a reason ... this post is not a promotion for any one company.
I asked for specific feedback from actual users of the listed service providers so there's no reason for links.

If you are unfamiliar with any of them a quick search for their respective name should produce all the information you would need for either provider.

Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback Mike.
Part of your comment sounded like a bit of a jab (maybe not, maybe I just read it that way), but yes, there are many people promoting GVO, which I am not affiliated with. I do have someone selected to signup with as I mentioned, and yes it does have an mlm component to it, which is cool with me. But as I said I'm not an affiliate or a member and this isn't a flog to create buzz for them.

My questions are legitimate as I am launching my own information products and need reliable file & video storage/delivery.

I'm an Amazon Associate so S3 was the first I looked into, From there I found several people in my circle that started using Edge, so I'm looking at hem as well. As for Akamai my only experience was when I worked tech support for a local ISP and we all got Akamai tshirts at an expo.

Anyway, thanks again for your feedback.

Hey there Jim - the company up here you probably havent heard of is GVO. They are a multi-level marketing company with some hosting tools and not a CDN. You're about to see multi-level marketing at its best as Richard and crew start their campaign to promote GVO through this and many blog posts. You will see all the GVO cohorts on the web start to pop up and comment on how great the GVO solution is and how its better than these other best of breed CDNs. While I have no experience using GVO (I doubt many CDN users do), I have lots of experience working with the Akamai and EdgeCast who both offer industry leading CDN services that power most of the web's biggest sites. Akamai is for the biggest heavy hitters and EdgeCast is really good for the middle market and even smaller companies. Amazon is a pay as you go service, so its good as you are building a new site and not sure about how successful it will be. For a complete list of the top real CDNs in the market you can check out Dan Rayburn's list at www.cdnlist.com which covers the top players. Best of luck
