Adventures in Blog Sitting!

Print Friendly

OK, so my wife and I both work from home full time; we love it!

Enter… the dog, and the 3 year old, and the snow, and the leaking faucet, and the messy garage, and the snow piling up in the driveway, and the dishes, and the laundry, and did I mention the snow!? The list goes on and on and on. What’s a work at home blogger to do?

They say that to have a successful blog that pulls in a decent income you first have to have killer content that keeps your audience interested enough to hang out for awhile and hopefully come back for another serving of your rants and raves on a consistent basis.

Next thing they say you need is MASSIVE amounts of traffic to your blog. Traffic as in hoards of drooling fans that can’t wait to read, watch, hear or download what ever it is that you have to feed them next.

They also say… hey wait a minute, “THEY” seem to say a lot don’t they? But what do they know anyway?

I mean how do the top bloggers do it? How do you create piles of content, DAILY content mind you, keep your house clean, your kids fed and hopefully your ass lean; even though this seems to require a lot of sitting on said ass? Well I’ve learned a little secret.

Want to know what it is? Good, in my next post I’m going to share one of about 10 tips for starting and running a blog; but more so, how to create a real online business that you can be proud of. So stay tuned for the next post.

Until next time… Cheers!
